UT Austin uses A− = 3.67 and B+ = 3.33. The undergraduate cumulative University GPA is distinct from the graduate calculation and excludes the listed non-letter symbols.
Virginia Community College System college-level credit classes; standard letter grades
VCCS section 5.6.0 assigns A = 4, B = 3, C = 2, D = 1 and F = 0 quality points per credit. This college is an explicitly matched member of the system; the calculation covers ordinary college-level credit classes.
University of Arizona undergraduate standard grades; not professional degrees
Arizona’s undergraduate scale uses A = 4, B = 3, C = 2, D = 1 and E = 0, without plus/minus grades. This is different from Arizona State’s A+ scale and does not cover Law, Medicine or Veterinary Medicine.
UCF uses quarter-point steps: A− = 3.75, B+ = 3.25 and D− = 0.75. A generic 3.7/3.3 table would give different results. The GPA estimate does not decide readmission or grade-forgiveness eligibility.
CU Boulder uses A− = 3.7 and B+ = 3.3, with no A+ grade. P, P+ and CR are excluded. This estimates the entered Boulder coursework, not an automatically reconstructed all-CU-career transcript.
Illinois assigns A+ and A 4.00 points and truncates the displayed GPA to two decimals. This tool covers institutional coursework, not its separate transfer or overall GPA.
University of Maryland, College Park undergraduate standard letter grades
Maryland College Park gives A+ and A 4.0, A− 3.7 and B+ 3.3. P, S and W are excluded from this GPA calculation. These are College Park rules, not assumed policies for UMBC or UMGC.
University of Michigan–Ann Arbor, College of Literature, Science, and the Arts (LSA)
Michigan LSA uses A+ = A = 4.0, A− = 3.7 and E = 0.0. This is the Ann Arbor LSA scale, not the Rackham graduate scale or a rule automatically copied to Dearborn and Flint.
UM–Dearborn’s table uses A− = 3.7 and E = 0.0. CECS does not use A+ or D−; CEHHS does not use A+. Choose only a symbol actually issued by your college, not every option in the campus-wide table.
University of Oregon undergraduate letter-graded coursework; not Law
Oregon adds or subtracts 0.3 for plus/minus grades, including A+ = 4.3. Undergraduate P, N and AU do not enter GPA. Oregon State is a different university and its scale must not be substituted.
Penn undergraduate standard letter grades; Penn course units
Penn’s undergraduate point table gives A+ and A 4.0, A− 3.7 and B+ 3.3. D− is not listed. Enter Penn course units and check your school’s separate rules for pass/fail, repeats and transfer credit.
USF undergraduate institutional GPA; not an overall transfer-inclusive GPA
USF gives both A and A+ 4.00 points, A− 3.67 and B+ 3.33. Its registrar excludes E as well as the listed non-GPA symbols; E must not be treated as a zero-point failure using another university’s rules.
University of Washington, Seattle undergraduate numerical grades
UW undergraduate courses use numerical grades from 4.0 through 0.7 in 0.1 steps, plus 0.0. Enter those recorded numbers directly; this calculator does not invent letter-grade equivalents or accept 0.1 through 0.6.

Virginia Tech undergraduate finalized letter grades

Virginia Community College System college-level credit classes; standard letter grades

KCTCS non-remedial, non-developmental coursework; system transcript GPA
KCTCS uses E, not F, for a zero-point letter-graded failure. F denotes a pass/fail outcome and is excluded from GPA, as are P and AU. The KCTCS transcript GPA combines eligible coursework across KCTCS institutions, not separate unrelated colleges.
Los Angeles Community College District standard A–F credit coursework
LACCD’s published GPA calculation assigns A = 4, B = 3, C = 2, D = 1 and F = 0, weighted by units. This calculator applies that grade-point table; it does not evaluate financial-aid satisfactory academic progress or award eligibility.
What this directory includes — and what it does not
All HD2025 records in the 50 U.S. states, DC and U.S. territories with CYACTIVE=1, ACT in A/N/R, DEGGRANT=1, SECTOR in 1–6 and no reported closure date. Administrative units, nondegree institutions and records outside this definition are excluded. This is the 2025–26 collection released in 2026, not a live register or a claim that every U.S. institution reports to IPEDS.
Names, locations, reported aliases, institution type and reported website links come from IPEDS HD2025 — Directory information, 2025–26 (provisional, Release 1), retrieved 2026-08-31. Schools can close, merge or change names after the reporting year; check their current official record.
No GPA rules, GPA requirements, acceptance rates, rankings or accreditation claims are inferred from directory data. Missing information is not filled with estimates. A reported URL is not a claim that its current content was reviewed.
Compared by NCES UNITID with the previous 2024 directory: 53 records added to our scope, 43 reported names changed, and 73 previous records no longer match the newer directory scope. All previous institution URLs are preserved.
Added records are not necessarily newly opened schools. Missing records are not automatically classified as closed. Historical pages distinguish reported closures, combined institutions, parent reporting, scope changes and absence from this release.
