Evidence before school-specific claims
Use the institution’s registrar, catalog, or official academic policy. Keep campus, academic level, effective period, grade mapping, exclusions, and display behavior separate. An access date records when a source was checked, not the academic year to which every rule applies.
From a claim to a calculation
Supported rules are recorded with a policy version and linked to test fixtures. Unknown or conflicting rules must not silently become zero-point grades or generic school defaults. A limited profile may support finalized letter grades while excluding repeats and unresolved marks.
Source review and mathematical checks have different jobs
Automated tests check arithmetic, exclusions, caps, and display behavior for recorded cases. They do not establish that a policy applies to every student. Each institution page therefore shows its source, date, version, supported scope, and known limitations.
Changes and correction standard
A confirmed calculation change should update the source record, policy version, regression test, affected explanatory text, and change history. Corrections can be sent to the public contact address with the affected page and official source.
