Letter grades & grade points

Compare source-linked scales and explore all-A / one-B equal-credit scenarios.

One letter, a specific scale

3.7 × 3 = 11.1 quality points

Example scale, not a universal school policy. A+ = 4.0; plus/minus values use 0.3/0.7 steps. P and W are excluded.

Changing the policy changes the meaning of the letter, not your official transcript. An aggregate GPA cannot reveal the exact grades behind it.
