Choose the correct application cycle
The 2026–27 cycle includes college grades earned during high school. LSAC has announced that the 2027–28 cycle will exclude those grades for new applicants and reapplicants. A saved calculation using the earlier rule is not automatically valid for the later cycle.
Conversion and inclusion are separate questions
The common LSAC letter table assigns A+ 4.33 and A− 3.67. Confirm the applicable school conversion. Separately determine whether the attempt belongs in the calculation; school forgiveness does not necessarily remove it. The limited tool retains entered repeat attempts with grades and credits.
Do not blend post-degree work into this subtotal
Coursework after the first bachelor’s degree is excluded from the LSAC GPA calculation, including undergraduate postbac and graduate study. That does not mean transcripts for later study are unnecessary. Also distinguish a small entered subset from LSAC’s cumulative report; its published minimum is 60 graded credits.

Put the numbers together
Illustrative change: a high-school college F/3 and later undergraduate A/3 average 2.00 under the 2026–27 inclusion rule. The same entered list averages 4.00 when that high-school work is excluded in 2027–28. Neither six-credit list meets the cumulative-report minimum.
