Science and BCP are not the same subtotal
CASPA’s BCP group combines Biology/Zoology, Inorganic Chemistry, Organic Chemistry, Biochemistry and Physics. Science GPA adds Other Science. Use the current subject list to decide where a course belongs; do not infer the category from a course title alone.
Some familiar examples differ from AMCAS
CASPA lists mathematics as non-science and nursing under Other Sciences. Its help page advises using the offering department when the title does not resolve the subject. Verification can correct a category; the applicant cannot choose a different GPA bucket merely to improve a result.
Include the attempts, then compute the subtotal
CASPA requires all repeated courses in GPA calculations despite institutional forgiveness. Our letter-grade model keeps them as separate rows. It uses semester credits only; do not enter quarter credits unchanged. Official CASPA converts those units separately.

ILLUSTRATIVE EXAMPLE
Put the numbers together
Illustrative CASPA list: Biology A/3, Math B/3 and English C/3 gives science 4.00, non-science 15 ÷ 6 = 2.50 and overall 27 ÷ 9 = 3.00.
